Aging Without Growing Old: How Betty White do?

A leading real comedy TV and movies lately – among all youth as well as Botox, raised, heavily made-up face – was Betty White. Career prize winner at age 88 and a half, Betty proudly declares: White is the poster gal to pull the calendar when it comes to age.
With the population of older adults every increasing the percentage of adults over 65 is expected to increase in the U.S. from the current 12% to 19% over the next twenty years. Given this growth expected exponential, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has looked for ways in which baby boomers can achieve healthy aging.
If you are interested in ideas about how to age, age, here are some tips to get started with Betty White as his model:
1. Cultivate humor in your daily life. Enjoy laughter, even if the joke is directed at you. Be playful, have fun and do something silly for a change. If you do not have friends with a good sense of humor, a comedy show, reading the newspaper comics, get a book of jokes. The pleasure to put in your environment, the happier you will feel. You can even increase its life and improve their health, according to the National Institute on Aging.
2. Hang out with your teammates. You are it has a lot of shared memories and can relate to the same music, references and events. Studies show that despite being encouraged to spend time with their adult children and grandchildren, active older people often prefer to relate to others in their own cohort. To meet new friends with similar interests, contact your local college or community center to schedule your life-long learning opportunities.
3. Find the time to interact with younger friends well. enjoy their different perspectives and challenges open to you. This type of mental challenges build new neural pathways that help the brain buffer against losses related to age. Injection of novelty into everyday tasks can have a similar effect.
6. Set goals for yourself and do something meaningful. The Research shows that people who are sociable, generous, goal-oriented are generally happier and healthier than others. Think about what kind of activities provide the greatest satisfaction and plan how you can spend more time with them. You may want to look for places to volunteer in their community through Senior Corps or the U.S. natural and cultural resources of the Volunteer Portal. Or contact your local school or community center opportunities to tutor children. Share their wisdom with others will bring a spring in your step and joy in your life.
7. Include in setting goals for your future. Perhaps this means that others around you – or reach a wider community. youth by involving yourself with family, friends and stay worldwide in general. Betty White, with his constant concern for animals and work their defense has continued to engage in animal welfare. Drawing on its connections to continue to participate with a community as you continue with your life.
When children misbehave ever, some say, "Act your age." But it is more complicated when sandwiched boomers are trying to exactly what that means to them.
