Find the original dimensions of the rectangle. 2. Ephraim is half the age of your brother. Five years ago, Ephraim was a third the age of his brother. How old is Ephraim now? 3. What part of a 5% alcohol and the amount a solution of 13% alcohol should be mixed to reach 6 liters of 8% alcohol solution? 4. The sum of the angles of any triangle is 180 °. What are the three angles of a triangle if the sum of the first two angles equals the angle third and unlike the first two angles is two thirds of the third angle? 5. A bag containing $ 5.90 in nickels, dimes and quarters. The number of coins is double that of a dime, and there are two more rooms dimes. How many coins of each type are in the bag? (Nickel = 5 cents, dime = 10 cents, 25 cents quarter =)
You write two equations for each question and solve. For example, 1. l = 3w (w + 1) (l-2) = 78 connector "L" for the second equation. Solving for 'w', then plug to find that 'l'. 2. e = the age of b Ephraim's brother, age = e = 0.5bb – 5 = 1/3e meet again. and so on.
